  • Sophie Dreaming of Home

    Sophie Dreaming of Home

    Oil on canvas

    11x14”

    Framed: $1200 + tax

My Oil Painting of Sophie is a piece that I created as a demonstration during Whiskers Pet Rescue annual dinner fundraiser. Sophie, at the time, was at the shelter waiting for her "fur-ever" home. This gorgeous cat made a perfect subject for a painting, and I wanted her to be seen caged, and yet looking pleased towards her future with a family.

My Portrait of "Sophie-finding home" got a wonderful message handwritten at the Bridgewater Country Fair - 2018 (Aug 17-19) Art Show of Realism: "Wonderful art, hope she's yours. So pensive".

Award winner (2nd place) from the Bethlehem Fair.

  • Kamelmacher Family, Lost but not forgotten

Kamelmacher Family, Lost but not forgotten

    Charcoal

    20x30”

    Framed: Price upon request.

This family portrait took a long time to work through! It was created from a very poor and deteriorating zerox copy of a xerox copy! The kind members of Random Acts of Photo Restoration were incredibly helpful for assisting in discerning some of the missing details. The original photograph, taken by an excellent unknown photographer from circa 1920's, is completely lost. This family portrait will be published in Harry Kamel Chaim Kamelmacher's second memoir. Harry’s first memoir is "If the train of Maniewicze could talk": memoir of a Holocaust survivor / by Harry Kamel aka Chaim Kamelmacher. https://collections.ushmm.org/search/catalog/bib262918
Harry's memoirs are well written and are true testaments of his experience surviving the Holocaust and his experience.

Awarded the Luke S. Newton Memorial Award for Art from the Naugatuck Valley Community College Fresh Ink publication.

  • Sumi

    Sumi

    Charcoal

    14x11”

    $350 + tax

Sumi’s portrait was created as an online demonstration through Whisker’s Pet Rescue in collaboration with my art show “For the love of cats”. Margaret shared photos of her black cat, Sumi, for our demonstration. Many folks don’t think black pets can have their portraits created. This portrait demonstrates otherwise.

Sumi’s portrait, rendered in Charcoals, was awarded third place in the Oil Painting Division at a local Fair - the judges thought the portrait was so well done it must’ve been an oil painting!
